Dust billowing up behind him, Travis walked along the wooden plank path towards the saloon. He had just closed shop and was very thirsty. He stopped at the double swing doors, and brushed a bit of dirt and dust of himeslf. No use in getting his one drink all bad tasting. Pushing one side of the door open, he stepped into the saloon, noticing it empty. He shook his head, he was a very social person, and he always was in the mood to chat. He walked up to the bar and plopped himself onto a stool. "Hello?" he called, since no one was up front. He looked around again, then looked over at the mirror behind the bar. He started picking at a scab along the base of his neck, then began playing with the strap on his gun holster.

Carson sighed as she heard someone's voice in the saloon. She had taken some time while the saloon wasn't busy at all to clean up some of the glasses from the previous night. Slowly, she stood from her chair located in a back room and pushed open the door. Her eyes wondered around the saloon for a moment before they came settled on a man sitting at the counter. Pulling up a smile on her face, she walked behind the counter, her shoes clicking softly on the wooden floor, and rested her hands on the bar. "Hello there. I take it you'd like a drink." Carson said as she reached down with one of her hands and picked up a glass, setting it gently on the table. "What'd you like?", she asked, keeping her smiled plastered on her face.

Travis looked up and watched a girl as she walked in. "Ill just have a beer." He knew he could get practicly anything, but there was never anything better than a cold beer on a hot day. He didnt want this to be a silent affair, so he struck up a conversation. "So are you new in town?" He asked.

"One beer it is." Carson said as she picked up the glass and turned around to fill it with ice. After doing that, she quickly picked up a bottle of beer and took off the lid, tipping it slightly and watching the liquid fill the cup to just below the rim. Turning around, she placed the beer on the counter. "Yes. I've only been here a few days...Came up from Nebraska." Carson said, leaning back against the wall.
